Saturday Unplugged At Bay Life
Saturday services have a decidedly different feel from Sunday morning and we think you will love the more casual atmosphere. Saturday is also a family-service where our students and children worship alongside their parents.
NOTE: Many Bay Lifers enjoy our weekend Saturday Service offering at 6pm in the Student Center Loft. Please remember, there will not be any Saturday services on Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Day weekend, and New Year's Day weekend. We also take a break over the summer and return in September. In addition, there may be worship events throughout the year that take the place of Saturday, so stay tuned to our events calendar to make sure there is Saturday Service that weekend!
We have provided the below information so you can decide if this service is for you.
Purpose
Provide a service for those unable to gather in person on Sunday and for those who preferred to attend services on Saturday.
Will it be like Sunday Services?
The short answer is "NO". The Saturday service will have a distinctly "unplugged" and trimmed down feel. It will be a much more intimate and casual feeling service. The environment seeks to be highly relational/conversational with very little programming/production. Worship will consist of a few songs led by a Pastor Mark on acoustic guitar, but there will not be a band.
Will it be "EVERY" Saturday?
The Saturday service will be subject to shutdowns at the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas) and during the summer (read: no Saturday Services from June - August), and periodic weekends where there may be alternative programming.
Where will it be?
Saturday services will start in the Student Center "Loft". Periodically, we may converge on "The Lid" for an outdoor service.
How can I serve on Saturdays?
We are glad you asked! Even a trimmed down service needs people to plug in. If you are interested in getting involved, please click the below link and let us know where you'd like to serve.
Who will be teaching?
Saturday Unplugged will be led by Pastor Mark. On the rare weekend he is away, there will not be a Saturday Service.
