LIFE GROUPS
Welcome to Life Groups @ Bay Life. We are many smaller communities within the Bay Life family.
At Bay Life, our Life Groups are key to building significant Christian relationships and growing closer to God. Life Groups are a way for you to meet new people running after the same goal – loving God and loving others. Every week, hundreds of people meet in Life Groups in the greater Brandon area. Our groups study a variety of topics, including sermon-based, topical, and books of the Bible. There are also groups targeting specific needs and interests. Feel free to explore the many possibilities as new groups are added.
You can register or ask questions by clicking on "Email the Leader" inside each group description. So check out the groups listed under "Join a Group" and start the connection.

At Bay Life, we believe that your relationship with God is best enhanced by relationships with other believers. Life Groups are a great way for you and others to grow. As Bay Life grows, there is a need for new Life Groups. New Life Groups need new leaders! Are you that leader? You may be sensing God calling you into a leadership role or have led before and are ready to jump back in.
Come join us on May 4 or 18 at 5pm for an informational meeting. No commitment, just information. We will share important information on expectations, and what makes a great group experience. At Bay Life, we believe that everyone should feel like they belong, and that's why belonging is one of our four core values. One of the best ways we foster this sense of belonging is through our Life Groups.
What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a small community of 8-16 people who meet regularly, usually once a week, to study the Bible, pray for each other, and simply enjoy life together. But the connection doesn’t stop there! Outside of the weekly gatherings, Life Groups often participate in social events, mission and service projects, and other life experiences together. Think of it as your small church family within our larger church community!
How to Get Involved:
After each weekend service, you can visit our Group Link event. This is a great opportunity to meet the group leaders and ask any questions you might have. You can explore a variety of groups that cater to different interests and life stages. Whether you're interested in joining a men's or women's Bible study, attending one of our classes, participating in a BreakThrough group, or connecting with one of our diverse Life Groups, there is something for everyone. Our Life Groups are designed to support you through every stage of life, offering a welcoming community and opportunities for personal growth. Come and find the group that's right for you! Our leaders are excited to welcome you and help you find a place where you can truly feel at home. You can also learn more and preview the different groups we offer by clicking the "Join a Group" link above.
And the best part? There’s no need to register in advance. Just come visit us and see what it’s all about. We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into our community!
Below are some of the frequently asked questions about life groups.

A life group is a group of 8-16 people that meet on regular basis, typically weekly, to study the Bible, pray for one another, and fellowship together. Outside of the weekly meeting times, groups “do life together,” meaning they do social events, mission/service projects, and other life events together. They become your small church within the big church!
We have groups that meet throughout the week from Sunday through Thursday. Most of our groups meet in the evenings, but some meet at other times during the day. Most of our groups meet in a home, but some meet on campus and/or online. Groups that meet both in person and online, we call "hybrid".
Our life groups are on-going and do not have an official “start” or “stop” date. However, we do host two Group Links, in January and August, to give people an opportunity to meet the Life Group Leaders and join their group. People are welcome to join any time throughout the year. Any group or class listed on our web page is open to new people joining at that time.
Joining a Life Group requires a commitment to attend weekly meetings and to do homework ahead of time. Obviously, allowances are made for sickness, vacations, work conflicts and other special events, but it is important to be committed to the group and to God. This commitment is the key to a strong Life Group. This is why we ask all Life Groups to discuss and sign a Life Group Covenant when they begin or have new members join.
There are three categories of studies that our Life Groups choose from: Sermon-based Study, Topical Study (i.e. Marriage, parent teenagers, etc.), and books of the Bible. This information can be found for each group in JOIN A GROUP
Cost will vary depending on the what the group is studying. Sermon-based groups will typically have no cost. Groups that do topical studies or books of the Bible may have a small cost to cover any materials (books, DVDs, etc.) needed for the study.
Childcare is handled by each group differently. Some groups utilize the childcare provided by the church on campus during certain days of the week. Other groups utilize babysitters or coop type of arrangements in their homes. Information is available for each group in JOIN A GROUP.
Simply click on JOIN A GROUP and browse through the many options we have. You can browse based on type of group, day of the week they meet, childcare, or by zip code.
Once you have selected a group of interest, click on the leader’s email link and let them know you are interested in their group. They will reply with an introduction to their group and next steps to join them. You may also contact the Life Groups Ministry at 813.661.3696 ext.244 or
