Why Membership?

Christians are part of a universal church, joined together by faith with believers around the world. But Scripture also commands us to be part of a local church.

At Bay Life, membership is important because it is our pathway to unity. Becoming a church member means you're done "kicking the tires" and you're taking ownership. Our desire is that you would be engaged, inspired, and equipped as we partner together in ministry, and membership propels us into discipleship and unites us in doctrine, values, and mission.

The first step in our membership process is Membership Class...

Membership Class

We believe committing to a local body of Bible-believing, Christ-followers is both meaningful and momentous. When members join Bay Life, they are committing to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are also called to a biblical standard of responsibility, service, and sacrifice. Our leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching.

As you enter into covenant membership with Bay Life, you are committing to become a part of all God is doing here. We ask you to join us as we share our mission, vision, and values. This class will be one day only and in person. You will be asked to complete some self-guided study at home before the class. Our Membership Classes are offered to help you learn more about Bay Life, and plug into your church family. Membership is not required to attend Bay Life. However, we believe that the New Testament guides us towards a committed, accountable belonging to a local church as a reality for every follower of Jesus.

The next Membership Class will be Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9am - 2pm. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided.

You will have self-guided home study to accomplish and videos to watch on your own before the class on March 1, 2025.
